Bargain price for large house plants: $25 each or $70 if you take all three. Includes pots. You may know these as Datura but Datura blooms face upwards. These are downward facing. These tropical plants are expensive to buy when you can find them in garden centers. I pruned these this spring as they were getting too tall for our indoor room and I wanted to get them to a size so we could take them outside for the summer. I was careful to keep a Y-shaped branch on each plant so they will bloom again.
Brugmansia need to be kept indoors until after the last frost. Excellent for 4-season conservatory rooms. They need light but don't have to be in blazing sun. They are a tropical jungle plant so are used to an overhead leafy canopy.
The eight inch yellow bell-shaped blooms have a lovely fragrance.
If you can find them. these plants sell for well over $50 each without the pot. We are letting these go because my husband doesn't want to carry them back upstairs before the frost hits.
The photos of the plants in bloom are from last year so you can see how each one will look.
Brugmansias are heavy feeders so they do need to be fertilized at least once a month if you want them to bloom.
