has protective mat over springs and has always been put away in the winter. The metal base is in my yard and everything else all together in a box. trampoline has a very small hole that needs a patch that can be purchased from TRIAD Trampolines. This is a great deal... i am moving and wont have room for the trampoline in the yard :(
