For sale is the Embassy Ball Janay doll by Integrity Toys. Never removed from the box. Doll is in excellent condition. The inside of the box top front the cardboard is curved inwards. Box dated 2002. The following is a description from an auction site: Pivot Points on Doll: Neck, Arms, Waist and Pelvis Included: Evening Gown, Underpants, Purse, Jewelry and Shoes Description: Doll has original makeup and hairstyle. Legs are straight. History: These models were produced between 1995-2004 year by Integrity Toys and competed with Mattel's Christie for the African American Doll Market. And in my opinion did quite well. The various color pigments and stylish outfits represents the African American community with style as well as flair. However around 2005, Integrity changed the doll's sculpted features and body style to make her appear skinnier. This was not a good idea. People who liked the more angular features and 'pop pow' body stepped away from the doll. Production soon stopped. Since this time, Integrity Toys has focused completely on designer dolls (Fashion Royalty/Jason Wu) instead of playline. However, Janay still commands much respect after 9-10 years of her doll life.
