The leaves will also be a bit smaller and its color will fade with much more green and less variegation. Water when the top inch of the soil is dry. It’s important to keep the soil moist but not soggy so avoid overwatering since it can lead to root rot. Water once a week in the winter. Feed it twice a month with diluted fertilizer. I like to do once a week. Avoid over-fertilization since it can lead to brown leaf tips. Make sure the soil is damp before applying fertilizer.
