Ground elder perennial plant is low growing, with the main leaf canopy normally growing to a height around 50 cm tall (or 19.69 inches). However, the flowering stems will grow taller, sometimes reaching a metre. Thrives in full sunlight but can tolerate partial shade. They have underground rhizome roots. So grow where spreading is not a problem. Is also a medicinal plant. Used as medicine for various ailments, but its primary purpose was as a cure for gout and to relieve pain and swelling.
