$21 · AYNSLEY COBALT BLUE TEACUP & SAUCER - bone china, made in England

Here's a beautiful cobalt blue bone china teacup & saucer by Aynsley, made in England. Both have wavy edges and are trimmed with gold-coloured paint. I have found only one other piece like this for sale online, and that one is a demitasse cup (smaller than mine) w/ saucer; the seller referred to it simply as cobalt blue. I have been unable to find out whether the pattern for this piece has a name other than cobalt blue. I bought this cup & saucer at the Antique Mall on Rose St. about 20-25 years ago and it's been on display in a cabinet since then. No chips, cracks, scratches, crazing or paint loss. The only flaw that I see is a small bit of missing bone china on the underside of the saucer. I can't determine whether this is a factory flaw or a chip that occurred later. Cup holds 6 oz. liquid when filled to the brim, and measures 3 5/16 inches in diameter and 2.5 inches high. Saucer measures 5.5 inches in diameter.
