I do need a very special home because I have a few quirks that my foster mom thinks I'm still going to be dealing with for a long time. I have a huge fear of confinement. I hate kennels, vehicles and being picked up, basically anything that impedes a means of escape. Right now, I have a safe space in my foster moms bedroom. I love it under the bed. Out of sight, hard to get to me, but I have a few directions to go if I am scared. I stay in her room with the door closed when she goes to work. This next quirk isn't just a me problem... my mom says some dogs just are like this. I'm pretty scared of toddlers. I mean, they are so little and unsteady on their feet. I bark at them and try to keep them from getting close to me. My foster mom says with my history of being so scared of people its probably best not to push the limits with children. I don't like strangers to pet me, but boy do I like getting treats. I was taught to "touch" with my nose, and I love to go up to any person and boop them with my nose in hopes of getting a treat! I also know to sit, down and sit pretty. I do a version of shake a paw but I'm super sensitive about people touching my feet especially the front ones so I just touch your closed hand and expect a treat. I know to sit nice and make eye contact for my meals too. I'm a pretty smart cookie. I recently accepted my mom trying to put this crazy harness on me so I don't choke myself if I'm excited on a walk.
