I'm Narissa! Do you have any treats? No? That's okay, I'll love you anyway, but let me double-check your hand to be sure... I love people almost as much as I love treats! I make friends with everyone that I meet. I am very food motivated, and I am SUPER smart. I learned how to shake a paw, lay down, and sit in less than 24 hours, I'm house- and kennel-trained, and I also know stay, back-up, leave it, drop it, touch, no, okay, and come. Every day I work hard to perfect them (that means more treats!) so that I can do them outside, too. I love playing fetch, and usually will give the toy back if you tell me to 'drop it'. I'd be perfect for someone wanting to do dog sports. I love going for walks, and although sometimes I'm a bit nervous when I meet people on a leash, I'm quickly learning how to be quiet (that also means more treats). After a bit of exercise, I settle quickly and am content to chew on my toys or pass out beside you. I love playing with other dogs, but am still learning about something called 'boundaries.' I'm told that means when a dog is done playing, I need to find something else to do, and sometimes I need help with this. A home with another dog would be great for me and I bet they would teach me a lot, but I would do okay alone, too. I don't know how to play with cats and I like to chase birds and squirrels, so I'd be best in a home without them or other small animals. When cats swat, I just want to play harder! My foster mom calls me a fuzzy chameleon. I've adapted quickly to every new situation I've been introduced to, and even if I'm nervous I tend to settle down quickly. Things aren't always as scary as they seem, and new situations mean even more treats! Can we be best friends?
