We are a rapidly growing cabinetry company; producing and installing cabinetry for multi-unit housing projects, new builds, renovations, and high-end custom homes on Vancouver Island. We have a dedicated & professional crew of over 20 employees strong and now seek an exceptional Operations Manager. The ideal candidate will have a post-secondary cabinetry education, a minimum of 5 years experience as a Foreman/Operations Manager in a custom/production woodworking environment. You are extraordinarily resourceful, a good problem solver and well organized. Driven by growing production, maximizing flow, & employee output, and eliminating barriers in the most critical departments of the shop. Assuring a steady completion of the workload in a timely manner is key to success in this position. This position is full-time, permanent and the salary is commensurate with experience, after the completion of your trial period. Our hours are Monday to Friday, from 7:00 to 3:30 pm, with some flexibility. Job Responsibilities: Act as a leader driving all shop activities achieving expected results in terms of organization and production. Cultivate innovation and create new and better ways for the shop to run. Provide direction, delegate and remove obstacles to get work done with a focus on continuous improvement and high-quality standards. Responsible for scheduling the production of all jobs through the shop. Ensure that all deadlines are met. Job Skills & Qualifications Required: Strong passion & ability to lead a multifaceted cabinetry team Possess detailed knowledge of Shop Industry Work well with a team and lead by example Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Superb attention to detail Strong organizational skills Comfortable reading and interpreting drawings & plans Remuneration depends on experience and includes bi-weekly salary, benefits, time off at Christmas/New Year, and annual vacation leave.
