ATTENTION COLLECTORS: I received this child's set of ceramic dinnerware, made in Japan, for Christmas in about 1960. They were available to order through the Christmas catalogue (either Simpsons-Sears or Eaton's). I never played with these and they have always been either hanging on a wall or on display in a china cabinet. The black wooden cabinet measures 10 3/16 inches high, 9 inches wide and 2.25 inches deep. It has two pre-drilled holes near the top, for hanging. A small amount of the paint or stain has rubbed off some edges (see photos), but can be touched up. Because I'm not keeping this, I haven't done the touch-up, and will leave that to my buyer. Two of the six larger plates have been broken. One of them was glued back together (see photos 4 and 5) but the other one has not been. I put the pieces for that one plate away, but couldn't find them today. If I do find them, I will give them to my buyer. In the meantime, I know where a replacement piece (or two) can be had. Apart from the two plates, none of the other ceramic pieces in this set has any chips, cracks or crazing. Pick up in Wascana View, Regina, SK. Due to current conditions, I accept Interac e-Transfer only, no cash, and pickup will be outdoors. ~ If you cannot use e-Transfer, and pick up in Regina, please do not inquire ~
