This is my boy Yugi, he’ll be turning 5 years old in June. He has his certificate, a small cage and blanket to cover it for bedtime. His large cage, toys, food everything he needs. He’s even got his deck tech!! He is such an amazing bird and is so so smart! He talks, a lot, at least a lot more than most conure’s do/will. He has got an amazing sense of humour! He will laugh when he hears you laugh. Yugi even laugh at random jokes and bantering that he doesn’t understand but has great timing!! He is still learning and trying to say more things all the time. Currently, he says his name a lot, “Yugi!! Yugi!!” Loves playing peek-a-boo and plays by saying, “where’d Yugi go?” He tells everyone that they are a, “good boy” and makes them feel welcome by saying, “hey buddy” when he’s see you walk by. He loves belly rubs (only if you ask first) and doing spins on his perch and flips around your finger. He enjoys playing in the skin when the waters on. Oh, he can beatbox too!!!!! My son was his original owner when he first came into our home. After awhile he picked me as his person and became very protective me. So sweet. I’ve heard that male conures will typically pick a female human to pair with. It absolutely brakes my heart that I have to find a new home for Yugi, my boy! Unfortunately though, due to medical reasons requiring a move I am unable to have him with me. I want to see him go to a loving home that knows about conures or that’ll take the necessary time to learn about them. Someone who will also time to learn Yugi himself, to respect him and understand that rehoming a bird can take a lot of time, energy and patience to show them their safe. Once they calm down from their move and know they are safe, they’ll slowing start warming to their new people, it is a process of trust building from both sides. So please, whomever may be interested in loving him even half as much as do, this trust bonding has to take place and only serious inquiries will be considered. I want him to go with someone that is wanting and able to be his forever person.
