Very responsive! All three web browsers are CURRENT versions! Yes! You CAN run this on the web with security & integrity. While there are going to be limits on the graphics engine (ie: non-Metal), you WILL be able to install new applications, browse the internet, and do most of what a $2000 Mac will do, but for a fraction of the price! This is an EXCELLENT system for students or anyone on a tight budget. NOTE: While the internal 8X DL optical Superdrive works perfectly, Apple chose to disable PATA support for Macs after Monterey and newer. So! To use DVD Player or any optical discs, you will need an external USB disc drive (these can be found online for about $30).
