The Regina Lawn Bowling Club Inc. (known as "RLBC") has an opportunity for an individual who enjoys working outdoors. The RLBC requires a greenskeeper to maintain our four lawn bowling greens. The greenskeeper will be responsible for maintaining the greens which will include mowing, verticutting, dethatching, vacuuming, fertilizing, aeration, watering, seeding, rolling, top dressing, sodding and if necessary, pumping or squeegeeing water off the greens. Some maintenance to the equipment may be required as well as other miscellaneous duties related to greens maintenance. The start date for this position is weather dependent but it is expected that it will be by April 27 but not later than May 1. The end date, again weather dependent, will be not later than October 9. Individuals who have some experience doing this type of work are preferred but individuals who have no experience will be considered, as instruction will be provided. Thirty five hours of work per week will be required with some of that time to be done on specific weekends to prepare for competitions. The variable work schedule can be negotiated to accommodate the RLBC and the employee. Summer student applications will be accepted with flexible hours to be determined for the month of September. This position has been typically done by an independent contractor but the RLBC may consider hiring an employee for this position.
