My goal is to provide professional piano care to suit your needs and budget. I am looking forward to seeing you. My fee includes: - an overview of the piano's condition - tuning the piano to standard concert pitch if possible - there may be an addition charge for pitch correction - asking about the service history (for example a note that sticks) - the option to set up a regular service schedule for the piano - the option to upgrade various mechanical parts of piano (called regulation) - the option to discuss humidity control - an appraisal fee may be charged if the piano is not able to be tuned My philosophy is to involve the owner of the instrument in the maintenance of the piano in a very “hands on” way. This may save hundreds of dollars in fees. It will be helpful if music and miscellaneous items are removed from the piano before I arrive. I can do my best tuning when distracting noises of any kind are kept to a minimum. A tv tray or small table would be helpful, too. Sometimes very soft sounds may interfere with my ears. Good lighting is an asset to my work. It would be best if the room is kept at an even temperature for twenty-four hours before the instrument is serviced. I welcome my clients to observe and to ask any questions they may have. My web site at http://donrose.ca/ has lots of information about pianos. The links page has some sites listed. Please add my email address to your “allowed senders” list so that communications via email will not be blocked. Payment may be made by paypal, cash, etransfer or cheque. I believe you will be happy with the service the piano receives. If there is a problem please call me right away. Again thanks for contacting me!
